Maintenance Technician-2nd Shift/Full-Time

Position Overview:

Full-time Maintenance Tech position for 2nd Shift Fulfillment Center operations.


Position Details:

Maintenance
Responsibilities: Repair and provide preventive maintenance to all mechanical equipment, including but not limited to, Bombay sorter, auto baggers, automated sorters, PLC controlled conveyors, and ASRS systems.


Facility related maintenance activities including, but not limited to general lighting, facility inspections and audits, air compressor systems, racking replacement as needed, and emergency or temporary overhead door repairs.


Repairs to carts, stands, lifts, and material handling equipment used in the daily sorting and transporting of products within the facility. This does not include major repairs or preventative maintenance to powered forklifts but does include the preventive maintenance and watering of all forklift batteries.


Demonstrate mechanical proficiency for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and AC/DC electrical motors and drives. Adjust, reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, MDR's, photo eyes, sensors, E-stops, transfers, etc.)


Maintain and troubleshoot all motors, relays, solenoids, VFD's, scanners, cameras, etc.


Assist in controls debug as well as working with Maintenance Tech Lead and Maintenance Tech II to determine the root cause of equipment failure.


Perform basic electrical maintenance associated with all aspects of automation as well as repairs/replacement of faulty components, using tools such as a multi-meter.


Safety
Responsibilities:


Follow appropriate safety procedures and use PPE while maintaining equipment (lockout/tag out, etc.) and ensure a safe work environment. Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment as needed.


Read and understand basic electrical and electronic schematics.


Other
Responsibilities:


Motivate and inspire the Duluth and subcontractor team.


Help our subcontractors to be successful and hold them to our standards.


Timely communication of all concerns and issues with the Facilities Manager.


Tracking of all work performed by keeping detailed records of all work done, parts replaced, etc.


Tracking of all spare parts to always ensure adequate inventory. Improve the process with written templates, spreadsheet tools, outstanding lessons learned, etc.

High School Diploma Equivalent work experience would be considered 1-3 years of experience


Skilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting and repair.


Energetic, ambitious, and hard working


Maintain a Positive, can-do attitude


Computer literate, experience with MS Office products


Previous, electrical, conveying, automation, and fulfillment center experience desired


A solid understanding of application of contemporary industrial control systems a plus


Good verbal and written communication skills


Extremely well organized and great foresight and planning abilities


Experience in high-speed fulfillment centers a plus Demonstrated skills in customer service.


Material Handling, or Packaging background required.


Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance procedures Familiar with simple wiring diagrams and symbols. Basic carpentry and plumbing Basic industrial controls

Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00/hour Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, federal, state and local minimum wage requirements, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
